will the Bose Subwoofer work with a new Head Unit? i am currently putting on the ALpine 7977 and CVA 1005. Just wondering if it will work with it or do i have to disconnec the Subwoofer

can i ask why you are getting TWO headunits?

1st, it is better for you to get a CD changer with your CVA-1005 than get another deck just for the CD slot.

2nd, the power in your deck will not be able to power ANY subwoofers, let alone the stock BOSE sub which is rate at 1 ohm. You'll probably have to get a separately amplifier and use different subwoofers in a box.

 

why didn't you buy the companion cda-5755 cd slave/eq unit instead? it comes in silver or gray (5755g). the cva1005 has dual source mode so you can listen to cd audio, while watching some sort of video. you also get eq settings!



unless you have already considered this option and determined it was not suitable for you.
