sub + enclosure

hmm...how do you put the sub in the box? I need more info....I mean what type of box? If it has a precut hole in it for the sub, you insert the sub into the hole, and screw in screws...and seal around the sub with silicone...(not forgetting to wire the wires if they're unreachable after this beforehand)...

Well, if there is a terminal on the side of the box for each sub...just use good 8 ga wire and wire the sub to the terminal, then seal her up. If there's no terminal, then you'll have to either drill holes and run the wires through and seal the holes up with silicone goo, or cut hole and install terminals. If you're trying to wire up multiple speakers to one amp, consult the woofer instructions and the amplifier instructions for proper impedance...or let me know what you're trying to wire and I can probably help you out.

Well in that case all you'll do is want to make sure the box isn't leaky...and if it's a predone box what I like to do is either use a fog machine and put a vacuum cleaner hose in it, turn the vacuum on, and see if there are air leaks...or just assume there are and fill all the internal corners with wood glue or silicone goo. Then you'll want to lay a very thin bead (strip) of silicone goo around the outside of the hole, if you're mounting with the lip on the outside (drop in), or on the inside of the hole if you're mounting with the lip on the inside (flush). Let it dry for the most part but still be soft...then run wires from the inside of the terminals to your subs in the configuration you want, watching polarity (and also assuming you've figured out the wiring for what impedance you want, assuming that's available), then screw the subs in...and you're done.
