I remember a little bit back you said you were doing a custom headunit replacement in the TSX I was wondering you could post some pictures of this.

very nice i expected that none the less though. now my question is how do you seperate the two units from each other. i thought that the ac controls are conneceted to the same circuit board as the headunit.
work faster i want to see the finished product take ubber lots of pictures of it and of the ac control unit.

We actually use a type of crazy glue (not crazy glue, but similar) with an activator to bond it quickly - after that, we use body filler to fill in the gaps and seams and make it all seamless - you'll see in the next round of pics.
Yes, the circuit board for the factory radio an A/C are all one piece - you'll see what I did in the next set of pics on Saturday, that's the "cool" part of the whole install

Pretty cool. But the circuit board? That will be interesting as there are only so many things you can do if it really is one board. Bend it (nah), cut it (likely), mount upside down (prolly not), mount elsewhere and run new wire/buttons for the HVAC controls...what will it be...

Thanks guys - the circuit board is slightly modified, but if we were ever to put the factory radio back in, all we would need is the front plastic piece that we modified. The screen on the factory board has been modified a little - it stick about an inch off the circuit board and almost sits flush with the trim. That white piece we molded into the factory trim is only 1/8" thick so we left the factory LCD display in tact but removed it's mounting point and folded it down and out of the way. It's a lot more complicated than it looks
Plus, we contracted a company to make us the flexible flat so we can mount the units that far away from each other - the factory cable is only about 6 inches long, our cable is 28" long.

So that last question for you StreetEffectz is how much does it cost for an install like that including the unit it self. The reason I am asking is a I may be coming to visit you my self for that.
