stock system help
Okay, I understand to get amazing sound in our TL's we have to replace everything....but I don't have enough cash to do it all at once. If I just want to add a couple of sub's in a box....could I power them with a new amp and still use the factory head unit? And, where is the factory amp located in a 2000 TL?? Also, what are the dimensions of the factory speakers? Thanks, in advance.

Man......you think stock amp has enough power to supply another sub????? No way......
You gonna at least buy another amp for sub....but my recommendation is Do not even start stereo mod, if you're not gonna spend lot of $$ on that...
Stock amp & speakers doesn't sounds good with only sub....

Oh, for anyone who doesn't know: I found out that the stock speakers are 6.5-inch.

replaced everything but headunit! (big pain) which with all the amps ,sub, tweets, is so freakin loud anyway! only draw back is little things like eq adjustments. i always am adjusting bass/treble accoring to the type of music and the way some is digitally mastered. one minute i'm metal, the next i'm rap! adjustments have to made!
