I don't even have my TSX yet, but am already looking to upgrade it... . I used the search function, but couldn't get a good read on whether all the model years had the same stock speakers... or what material exactly they were made of. I was wondering if the 2008's had the paper cone speakers all around... Is the stock setup decent enough to leave, or is a speaker upgrade worth the $$$? Also, will this setup work / be worthwhile:

Doors: Infinity 6012i with HSB-518 spacers
Deck: Infinity 9612i (I know the tweeter won't be used due to HU crossovers only sending low frequency to these 6x9's).
Tweeters: Infinity 1011t

Any feedback or additional suggestions are greatly appreciated.

 

Your speakers will be paper and terrible. All years all types are the same.

Your speaker selection should be good and it looks like you've done some research already... I say go for it.
