Stock Navi Screen Wiring

Is the stock navi screen VGA compliant? Looking at the harness diagram posted by TypeSDragon (http://www.angelfire.com/super/types...ireharness.txt) and comparing it to the standard VGA pinout (http://www.hardwarebook.net/connector/av/vga15.html), it seems that the RGB-C (pins 4,5,10 & 11 connector A) are equivalent to what is sent through pins 1,2,3 & 13. Does anyone know if this is in fact correct?

So, here's what I found by trying

RGB singals seem to map correctly to the RGB signal from VGA
Ground to Ground

The VGA HSync (also called composite sync) seems to "stabalize" the horizontal but cannot control the VSync as my image keeps scrolling vertically.

This is as far as I've gotten up-to now

Will keep you posted if I discover any more.

gkli:

have you tried using different refresh rates?

PC will only support 37K in DOS, at least I think it's 37kHz, the navi screen runs on 15kHz, once again, that's my guess based on some conversations I've had... So basically, I've come to a realization that I'd need a line doubler or divider to accomplish this. I've found a few circuit diagrams that show you how to build a line doubler, will see if I can make any sense of it. I haven't gone to Radio Shack shopping for logic gates in a while, but have found out that getting a simple XOR gate, which is needed for the doubler, is near to imposible

I've also found a place that sells line doubles as well as various other video "transformation" pieces. I'll keep you posted if I can get this to work...
