Stereo Installation Question

Hey Guys,
Doing an install this week(hopeful). Just a couple questions. Im installing a Pioneer head unit and a few accessories with it. I'll be installing an ipod interface adapter and an xm radio adapter, each of which require a link to a constant power source (i believe its the yellow wire). The only "constant" wire source I know of is the one running behind the head unit which will ultimatly be used by the head unit. Does anyone know of any in, or around the center unit that is easy to access for the adapters? Or is it safe to run all of them off that one constant source? (probably isnt)
Thanks for the help

The pioneer accessories (ipod adapter, xm radio adapter) require power from a constant source because they store channels or settings that would be erased if power was completley cut off. Maybe the ipod adapter would be okay off of a switched source, but for the sure the XM radio needs a constant.

Your hu does the same thing, fyi. Radio presets, eq presets, etc. Tie into the radio's constant power, and you should be fine. If you really want another source, run yourself another wire from the battery with it's own fuse.

I'll give it a try. I'll run all three wires off the constant. If any one has any other opinions or thoughts, much appreciated.

I had to do a head rest tv setup that what i did is, i ran it all off the same wire but i put individuale inline fuses for each. A bit more work but it protects all of the components. Hope this helps...
