There are quite a few posts about this subject. Short answer is yes, you can do it. Theres an adapter that makes this possible.

It is possible - I found a shop that can do it to make three of 4 functions work (vlume up, down, thru presets on tuner and tracks on cds) for about $140.00. I decided not worth it on my replacement - had to replace everything and it cost a mint!

Two companies make an interface. Pac and Peripheral. I bought a PAC from htownaccord on this forum, although I have yet to receive it but, that is another story. We are going to have it wired up in our Pilot. From what I understand, you can actually program it to control anything the remote for your head unit will control. Although, we are just going to use it with what the steering controls have listed. My installer said they are a bit tricky to program but, work really well once installed and setup properly.

i've put a few of the PAC ones in cars, and they are a wench to install, but they do work. the only down side i have seen at my shop with them is they are very fragile, i've have 3 seperate one broken right out of the box.

if installed correctly, it will work. as long as the aftermarket headunit has the option for a remote, and you have that remote available to program the module devise to be installed in conjunction with your steering wheel radio control buttons, it will work. it needs to be install where the eye of the unit is in direct line of sight to your head unit, ie. center console, domelight, etc.

I've heard that as long as you don't care about cruise control, you could (if you wanted to) substitute those button(s) for radio control... cool!!! if it really would work!!!

in my opinon, this option is a must for driving safety and convience i couldn't do w/o.
