I have have a pioneer double din in my 03 tl. I have had it in for about a year. About a month ago occasionally as i would take turns the station would change on its own. Now it does it almost constantly and keep scrolling through on its own and the head unit will also turn itself back on after i turn off the display. Apparently this could be due to a ribbon cable splitting in the steering column. Is this correct? Also any one have details on how to fix or can point me in the right direction? I tried searching fixes but i don't really know how to search this problem. Please help i have had a rough couple weeks with this car.

 

any ideas? cant even listen to the radio.
