Question SRS Light On After Install

I just had a whole aftermarket system put in my car and my SRS Light is staying on.

Does anyone know how to turn it off or what's going on with it?

Sounds like your key was turned on with the pass seat unplugged.

I'm guessing 22.50 at the dealer.

They just plug in the Honda scan tool, the error code will tell them what happened, they'll reset it, and it will take about 5 minutes. That plus knowing how and owning the scan tool, which is several K of investment, dictates that you get charged 1/2 HR of labor - which your install shop should pay for.

Talking

I reset it... It was easy... Just do the paperclip good and jam it in there good...

It's easy only if you take the peice of dash off under your steering wheel and loop the plug out and it will free it up enough so that you can do it with only one person.

The Toyota SRS light is supposed to reset that way, but it never worked for me or anyone I know, so good thing the Honda version worked.

Of course, we are assuming by using that method that your airbags DO still work...
