this really shouldnt be expensive,,, using my amateur guess, im thinking you can just take apart a regular strobe light, and use the piece that actually makes it blink, then put it in the strobe light.. somebody smart teach my how to do this...

being that you dont know what this involves lemme give you a break down of the parts of a strobe system........it is the same as a hid system...there is a power supply and a lamp. .... there are only two types of strobe tubes that will work for you in this case....a u shaped strobe or a linear strobe .....being that they dont make either one of these long enough to fill up the whole thing you will either have to do multipy lamps or design a reflector that will distribute the flash evenly to the lens. Make sure that the power suppy that you buy will fire the strobes simultaneously as opposed to alternating n random.

This shouldn't be hard. Use the 2" straight flash bulbs...do that with I believe 5 or so, hook it up to the high voltage capacitive power supply it needs and you should be good to go. You can get a little DIY kit that does one of these for about $8, so you're looking at a $40 mod. You'll have to place the bulbs somewhere away from the LED's (I would think above would be better) and you'll want to run the wires down through the spoiler with the LED wires to the control unit in the trunk.

im sorry, im sorry... maybe i explained this wrong, thats my fault. i dont want my spolier light to strober, real fast and blind people behind me.... what i want is............. when i step on the brakes,,,, i want my two brake lights to come on normal, and i want my spolier light to flash, "blink", "strobe", "go on and off" i guess i just wasnt clear, and thats my fault.. i thought of this about two years ago, for my old car, and i thought it would be a very simple, cheap, short thing to do.... but i never did it.. than i saw it done on some other car.... he was in front of my, and when he stopped, is spolier light blinked, and i said, hey thats my idea. then i pulled next to him and passed him and never saw it again... now what do you guys say

thats what i was talking about... the lights inside ur spoiler are small and will take some work... lots of patience and also some money if u screw it up... its not an easy job... ask around the speed shops maybe they can give u a price on the headache u don't have to deal with...

just to let you know that even if it is easy .....flashing red, blu, green lights are for public service workers such as police or fireman and you can get a ticket for having such in your vehicle without the proper credentials.

good point.... but i asked 2 different cops, and the both said the same thing.... the law says and i qoute them... "any light that illuminates red and draws attention to your car while brake ing" so he said this was fine........ its really not a big deal though, so forget the whole idea..... nevermind

thats not a bad idea...you can get a flashing unit from radio shack for like nothing and hook that up....to the power for the spoiler lights......the unit takes in constant 12 and then sends out a blinking 12...just for your case it be perfect..!!
