Speakers cut out and crack...
Hi everyone. When I bought my 99 TL it already had a system in it.
2 10" MTX subs, infinity reference speakers (4), subs have amp and infinities have amp as well...do not know watts.
Alpine head unit. Everything was fine for the first two weeks and the system was LOUD and CRISP which I love.
Now when I take it above reasonable levels (15+ volume) on the head unit which is not all that loud, the speakers "snap, crackle, and pop" - that is the best I can describe it.
Then the infinitys will cut out completely and I will just hear the subs. I will turn it down and they will come back on.
It is frustrating!
I tried turning the gain down from 1/4 or so above NORM to NORM. Not sure if it got that much better cause it still does it.
Any ideas? I loved the short-lived loudness.
BTW - all the equipment was bought new supposedly and is less than 6 months old.
Thanks!
Nick
