This is my first post on here and I have tried looking up the problem to no avail. My issue is that I have a 2000 Acura TL that I have purchased as a winter vehicle. Sometimes when I drive it, the speakers will work just fine but no sub, sometimes the left side will work and not the right, sometimes the back speakers will work and nothing else.

This all changes as I am driving. When I leave the house nothing could be working and when I'm half way to work everything could be sounding great.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I am no stranger to the unreliability of Bose as my 2003 350z also has a Bose system that I have had to mess with. Thanks again in advance.

 

Well first off is everything still stock in the vehicle and second do you know if the previous owner had changed anything in the car because it sounds like someone has played with the stock and/or aftermarket system and you have a short of some kind at either the speakers or the factory amp.

 

Well unfortunately it has an aftermarket alarm and remote start combo which I know are famous for cause shorts and a ton of other electrical problems so maybe this is my problem. Other than that though, everything is stock on the car.

 

With all of the 2nd Gen TL's out there no one else has had this problem? I find that hard to believe since every one of our cars ships with this terrible ass head unit.
