Speakers

I will be picking up my CL tomorrow, i already bought a new Alpine Cdm-7874 deck to replace the stock deck, i'm just wondering if its worth buying new speakers or if the bose speakers will work well with the new deck?

Stock speakers will not work with the new headunit. Get new ones.

im getting a 98 3.0, the guy at audioking said it should work without new speakers and suggested i buy some little thing that will be installed with it that should make it work with the stocks, i'm still planning on some new speakers, just not right now.

Actually, they will. You would need to feed the line out of your new deck into the line in on the stock amp. Should work fine.

That deck seems like a downgrade from the stock one to me though.

Do you have stock navi?

he's getting a 98 3.0 so i don't think it has a navi. the alpine should be better, mc, don't you think. stronger and cleaner output than the stock?

Oh, a 98.

My bad. Guess I should read the post a little more carefully, eh?

Sorry. Disregard previous post!! That Alpine is probably a good decision in that case.

I dunno about the stock system in the 98 so what good am I?

i'm not sure but i think the 3.0 has a bose amp at the trunk too. make sure that your installer bypassed the stock amp...or when you get the new speakers, make sure the stock amp is no longer used......that's if the 3.0 has a bose amp in the trunk. i'm pretty sure it does, though.
