i have a pioneer z1 with stock speakers and a 12" jl w7 in my 02 tl. i just recently bought a directed 4 channel for inside speakers. my question is what speakers should i go with to have decent base but great height so i dont hear my sub over the music. and should i add tweeters

 

jl is a good choice if you have the money. i would personally go with tweeters since some songs have a lot of high and it sounds good when you hear a ncie balance, of bass, mids, mid bass, and highs.

i had jl components (hooked up to a 300/4) all around with a jl 13.5 w7 and a 1000/1. the base did not drown out my highs and mids and it sounded nice.

asked soo many times on here. best suggestion tho is to go to local audio shops in you area and listen to some speakers, then make you decision from there. everybody hears things differently, and your buying speakers that you want to suit to your liking, so go and test some out

 

Speakers will sound much different on a display rack vs. installed in the car!

 

has any had time to pick up the kr2 series from focal...looking for feedback on if it was a smooth install and quality afterwards
