Speaker Depth?
As-is -> no. 2 5/16" is more than 2 1/4". It is pretty close though. I don't know how acurate the depth measurement is for the Acura. If you got the 2 1/4" measurement from Crutchfield - they tend to be a bit conservative from what I've seen.
You can make a trim ring to fit a speaker thats too deep. The trim ring mounts to the door and then the speaker to the trim ring. But in doing so you also will run the risk of raising the speaker too much so it may interfere with the factory speaker grilles. 4-way speakers tend to be pretty tall. A 1/4" trim ring would do the trick though as long as the speaker still fits under the factory grille.
