Sound Systems Noob

hi,
i have an 05 acura tl with navi and i am new to the world of sound systems. I want to change out the 5 speakers (2 lefts, 2 rights and 1 center) and my sub with something better. i have already chose my tweeters, infinity kappas. I know a little and i know tht i probably will need 2 amps, 1 for the left, right, and center and 1 for the sub. I want to know what i will need to use my factory HeadUnit and what companies to go with.

Thanks for any info

From what i've learned so far, it seems that the rear speakers aren't all that important..just used for rear filler sound so i don't think you'll need anything too special for those. In my opinion, component speakers (the two fronts and tweeters) are veryyyy important to a good sounding system so choose those wisely and according to your taste..try going to a good local audio shop and i'm sure they have a variety of speakers you can listen to. As for the sub, it's really dependent on your own taste for how much bass you want with your music, the best way is to either sit in somebody's car that you nkow with a system and try out the different amounts of bass you like or just do the audio shop thing too haha. well, i hope it's of some help to you. welcome to the forum!

I think that depends on what you like and which models you are looking into.
Both companies make at least 4 sets of components of varying quality.
I think the focals are smoother and brighter, but the Diamonds seem to
handle more power better.

Both require good installation and strong clean power to live up to
their reputations.

Good Luck
