I just got done hooking up infinity 6x9's to a rockford amp. I ran all the wires necassary and the amplifier was working fine but had no power to the 6x9's. After messing around wit the wires i got it to work for lik 5 seconds and went off. I have no idea why the speakers won't work please help.

 

check the polarity of your lines... and also i would try other speakers to see if the speaker is the problem or the amp is your problem... diagnose from there...

 

i hooked the 6x9 up to another car n they worked so its not the speakers so im guessing its something with the wiring.

 

It's the amp, something is fried inside. You will be able to get it warrantied unless you bought it off ebay.

 

Check the fuse.

How do you know the amp was working fine if the speakers weren't working?

 

try hooking up different speakers to your amp.. if they don't work it is def the amp or connections...
