You can try that Quick Roof stuff and save yourself some money. I've been thinking about going this route. Where do you plan on applying the sound deadening? If it's the trunk, dynamat might be the better option.

I did my Trunk, rear deck, and all seams with dynamat dynashield spray foam, I used 5 cans total

I used 2 sets of dynamat xtreme door kits for my doors, even though i had no rattles before

I used eDead 80mills(thick) on the trunk lid of my car. It makes a big difference, now I can hear rattles in other places when I am outside the car. However, inside the bass sounds much cleaner...

I have 2 12's ported and my trunk would always rattle the shit out of my car along w/ the spoiler.

Only downside is that my trunk is now too heavy and it would hit my head even though my car is parked on even surface.

Check out http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/ for good and cheaper alternatives to Dynamat Extreme.

That "RAAMat" stuff is the same as peel n seal flashing you can get at lowes. They have smaller rolls that work out to about $35 cheaper than that site per 62.5 sq ft. I found a bigger roll here which may be cheaper but I cannot get a price from lowes since I cannot seem to find a store that carries it. I hate websites like that.

so tehvine, you're a little off about that stuff at Lowes... The stuff you linked to is rubberized asphalt, whereas the raamat is butyl... Not quite the same...

I think you're thinking of fatmat, which is the rubberized asphalt...

Eh, either way, I just use dynamat extreme since it's cheap for me at work. I had bought a roll of the 6"x25 stuff at lowes a long time ago for my accord trunk and it did the job well. I did 3 layers of that plus one layer of dynamat extreme in there... complete overkill. I'm going to start stocking up again so I can do the entire CL interior, maybe I can shave off 1mpg.

I wish I could do that much deadening... For my competition class, I'm only allowed 2 layers or any deadener or some certain thickness (not sure exactly what the thickness is). I've heard from multiple people that Raamat is great, so I'm going to be going with that since it's really cheap when compared to stuff like dynamat extreme, second skin's damplifier pro, etc.

Im am doing this right now. So far I've done the trunk lid with cascade , also put 4 cans of expanding foam in it and dynamat extreme on my roof. And peel and seal from lowes which is what is in the vid(well kinda) it's in my trunk walls and floors also doing my doors in cascade ands peel seal. here are a few shots I've cleaned up the foam before install, and got all the wrinkles out of the deadner

Yeah I think the asphalt based products had more tendancy to come loose than the newer butyl stuff like RAAMat and eDead etc...

How good do you think the spray foam is?

Was it easy to work with and overall if you had to do it again...

Would you use the same product?

I like the thought of using the foam instead of laying down the material

But I don't know if there is a disadvantage to using the spray foam vs. the reg. matting.
