Sold Kappas ordered CDT and have question...

Anyone herd these before? They are supposed to be great sounding. Does anyone have a hint on where I can install the crossover? I would like to not have them in the map pocket on the door and I don't want them to get ruined in the door. If I have them in the trunk do I have to run new speaker wire to the front doors or can I use the stock wires?
Thanks

Whats up man. You could mount those babies(crossovers) several places in your car. Under the carpet of the front/rear pass, behind your dash, roof liner or trunk as you stated. I suggest you use the factory wiring soly due to the fact that re-wiring a door speaker, from what i hear, is a big pain. But then again, i could be wrong.

I ended up mounting mine inside the door, I have had no problems. They are against the plastic door cover, no rattling or anything.

I haven't gotten them yet so I will have to see how big they are. It would be easy to mount them in the door but will the moisture mess with them and the connections??? .
autophile1 check the sig and it will tell you the models and the amp.
Dynocls did you get the parts put on??

NOLACLS, i got to install the intake, damn it's a load @ Vtec, last night but the headers and exahust bolts were giving my grif so i'm gonna wait for the weekend to install it. It would've been on by know if i had a compressor and air tools but but since i dont then i guess i'm S-O-L.

I had componet speakers w/ crossovers before in the civic i wrecked. I placed them in the door. I just toke off the door speaker, connected everything and dropped it in the speaker hole. After having them on the car for 6-7 months i toke them off and i found that the screws from one crossover were rusted out. However, they sounded great untill the day i toke them outta my car. Keep in mind it is way humid here in South FLA. Hopes this helps.

Dynocls...it will make you life easier to wait till you get an air compressor and tools and dont be surprised if you break a bolt or two.
Its real humid here as well so I would like to not have the crossover get all rusted and ruined in the door. Is it not as bad as I am thinking it will be or is there a way to protect them?

what I have done in the past is to use stainless stell screw to mount the cross over and applied silicon over the gaps of the crossover and over the connections (make sure it is none conductive). Another thing you can do iks to wrap it before you secure it but then again that is questionable.

hope it helps.
