So I found some brand new home speakers....

Near my apartment garbage can. they are a home set by Theater Research...the TR-6020 set. Anyone know anything about them? Are they a good deal for free??

Just looking at the web on these things, it looks like you would have bought them out of the back of a van.

I wouldn't touch them with a ten-metre pole.

One of the pages I found was a fake "better business bureau" type page obviously set up to lie about the virtues of the product.

YOu think this can pssibly be any good?

This system includes 2 Brand New AUDIO VIDEO HOME THEATER SPEAKERS 2800 SPEAKERS

ooohhh but these are those new VIDEO speakers!

STRONG MAGNET OF HIGH QUALITY BASS

I'd keep em around if you don't have anything else, although I'd imagine even a low end set of name brand speakers would be much better.

Ha ha! My uncle did actually buy a set of Theater Research from a guy in a van! No shit. And those speaker fukin rocked for sure! We thought they were stolen or something. I was so surprised at how good they sound. My cousin went over to his house and made his dad trade him for his Sony set up. So now my cousin has them. But believe it or not they do sound good. And I am sure the guy that threw them away bought them from a guy in a van.

Theater Research= from a van!

Did you hook them up yet? How do they sound?

actually, i did just hook them up, and they sound pretty good....at least better than the old sony's I was using. Hell, the only place I put anything "high-end" is in my car, and that is even middle of the road (2 more years of school, then we go to Focal...), so these will do very nicely.
