well yesterday was extremely dead at the shop so me and a one of the installers decided that is would be a good time to play with my car. We ripped the back seat out and mounted the JBL crossover in a custom mount. I also decided i was going to mess with the Bose amp. this is where my question comes in. It had just one harness connecting into it, so I just unplugged it and pulled the bose amp all together (it is just sitting in that little pocket in the trunk now. I get the distinct feeling that the factory system was set up like this: Factory head unit powered the door speakers and the bose amp powered the sub only. does this sound right? anyway i'll try and get pics of the crossover today while i'm at work. . .

 

yea the external amp was for the sub only.
