sliding box

I just finally got my stereo installed. I'm having a problem with the sub enclosure sliding around in the trunk during "spirited driving". Has anybody come across any good solutions for this? I thought about putting some velcro strips in the bottom of the enclosure, but i dont want the box to tip over when i accelerate quickly.

When I got my subs installed they screwed 2 long strips of metal to the box, then screwed the metal strips (they had holes evenly spaced down them) to the car.

Get some heavy duty velcro from Home Depot. You only need to install the hook section to the box. The box's weight should hold the velcro to the carpet.

If it is a wedge shaped box that tends to be top heavy, Velcro will not hold. If it is square or retangular and the weight of the subs is pretty even, Velcro can do the job.
