I'll second AVE. The guys at AVE are good guys. They have been around forever, bought some speakers from them 16 years ago or so (Sh!t I'm old)

While we're on the subject of Bay Area shops, I just had Car Tunes in Largo build a fiberglass enclosure for my TSX. I absolutely could not be any happier. They understood exactly what I was looking for and made it better than I'd hoped. Price was good and the car was done a day early. I never made it to AVE because I live no where near there any more. (work somewhat close to Largo). I'll try to post some pics soon.

No, not a traitor. Never really had any allegiance to a shop (other than I ABSOLUTELY will not shop at Sensuous Sound or Car Stero Shoppe). In fact, this is the first audio work I've paid someone to do since I was 16. I was trying to talk myself into doing it myself. I had none of the materials or tools to do fiberglass and Car Tunes quote was not much more than all of that would have costed. AVE does very good work though, and had they been closer, I would not have hesitated to let them perform the install. I wanted something a little different than most of the fiberglass boxes out there, a little more simple. They knew exactly what I wanted and it came out great. I'll take some pix and post them tomorrow.
