Shock Sensor install

OK, I finally decided to get shock sensor due to the increased
car vandalizm in my neibourghood.
I've orderd dual stage shock sensor
from autotoys.com.... I hope shipping will be fast.

I will follow NOVA and SilverKnight template.
Instructions look simple, except location of a yellow
wire ( i saw more then one in that area ).
also, I hope I am getting right size prongs...

If you pull out the harness that I showed in the pic. There should be only one yellow wire.

Yes, but there is a way to locate the wire without removing
harness ( I am looking at NOVA instructions )
As I see this harness is a top most harness on the edge
of the box. I should be able to trace wire bundle
that goes all the way to the top most harness
and then find this wire in this bundle....

I heard removing this box is a pain in the butt..

I would have to disconnect all harnesses and put
them back. What if I plug in things in the wrong sockets and
my car explode :?!

Each harness has a unique key so you cannot plug it in at a wrong location, unless you intend to do so

Taking out the box is not easy, but not hard though. You can follow randomwalk's foot step and tap into the trunk wire so the shock sensor wont set off the alarm if just pop the trunk and put stuff in there.

As I understand there is only one bolt that holds
the box, after removing that bolt and all
the harnesses I should be able to turn it to see
the harness on the back?
( removing lower dash was easy -- only one screw to remove )

I am also installing small switch so I can disable
shock sensor if I want to ( cases when you give your
car to dealer for service or etc )

The hood wire (yellow) can be tapped by just laying under the dash, looking up...the trunk wire (orange) can also be tapped the same way. You do not need to remove anything.

Another question: What is the best place to mount the sensor?
I heard people attach it to wire bundle, this makes it more sensitive compared to mounting it to the wall.

Thanks
