k guys, ive been trying to find answers searching through the system but im having troubles. I am cheap but im looking to upgrade the entire system.

the plan is to get the clarion dxz545mp deck($250cd)
phoenix gold qx component speakers($100)
(new 6X9's cheap and not too high end)
pioneer 480 watt amp($140)
1 boston acoustic 10" sub.($80)

most is used from ppl I know except for the deck.

first question, has anyone installed new tweeters in the front corners of the dash, like gutting it out and reclothing the 2 grates that are already there?

im asking because Im thinking about putting the phoenix gold 1" tweeters there.

2. will the 6.5's fit in the door easily? does anyone know the max depth that will fit?

3. i could wait for some decent 6X9's instead and get those to get my bass. (might be better for room)

any concerns or ideas? any help will be greatly appreciated. im not looking for over the top but decent loud sq.

i listen to a bit of rap and weird stuff but mainly punk and rock

dog i wouldnt want to put my tweets there. i did it before. its the hardest thing to do for nothing, you have to disconnect and connect this plug in the driver side and its a pain putting it back in to place. A guy here from al & eds told me that the tweets could be place 12 or 15" away from the speaker anything farther than that kill the sq. i got my tweets placed behind the sidemirrors
