Se 637

Has anyone purchased a SE T637 via the web or otherwise and activated it on Cinguler? If so, where was it purchased and how much did it cost? I would imagine that those of us that like the SE 616 would like the 637 even more. I dont feel like waiting for the Cingular stores to get them in so if it's feasible I want to get an early jump. Thanks!

Is the SE T637 similar to the T630? If it is than the phone is great. Main difference between the T630/637 and T610/616 is the screen. It's not that much better than the T610/616. Reception is really bad on the T610/616.
You can use it with cingular as long as the phone is unlocked. You can just open a cingular account with some free phone they are offering and buy the T630/637 put the SIM card in and your set.
I'm waiting for the SE K700 and SE S700. These phones are gonna be great.

The T637 is supposed to be out very soon from Cingular. It is in their COMING SOON section. As for the differences between the T630 and T637...not only the 850mhz but also a class 5 antenna like the T616 which (to my personal experience) gets noticeably better reception. I use a T616 on T-Mobile right now and I have yet to see it drop a bar for reception. I am more impressed with it than the T610 so I imagine the T637 will be along those same lines. Cingular stores already have T637 replacements for warranty exchanges but not the ones in the box yet.

On another note, I'm looking forward to getting a batch of K700's this Thursday.

Let me know when you get the K700.

I did not know the T610 and T616 had different antennas. I guess that's why my reception is so bad. I'm using the T610 now.

Does Cingular allow returns of phones? I have a v600 and am thinking of exchanging for a T637.

I'm sure they have some kind of exchange or return policy.

Can you tell me how to get to the Coming Soon section on Cingular's website?
Also, I thought the SE 637 is getting a class 4 antenna whereas the 616 has a class 3.

D'oh! The T637 is not listed under there anymore. BIG CORRECTION on the T610/T616 & T630/T637 antennas. All of them are class 4 antennas. There is a difference in circuitry that allows the signal to be raised on the 850mhz side so overall reception is better.
