The Scosche Passport adapter fixes the Isimple (Peripheral Electronics) Ipod interface charging problem with new Ipods.

I have an Isimple Ipod interface connected to a 05 TSX non-navi that gets the "not charging message" when 4G Ipod nano is plugged in. The Isimple supplies Firewire charging and the new Ipods expect USB charging. The Scosche Passport converts Firewire charging to USB. All the other functions seem to work as normal.

I assume that this would fix the same problem for Iphones also but I have not tried it.

This device is like a large dock connector and so it adds bulk to the connector into the Ipod.
