Running Wires

I have a 03 3.2 CL and i was wondering if anyone had a picture of how they tapped the RCA's into the Bose amp and where the bose amp is located and what needs to be done to access it, and also does anyone have a picture of where they ran the power wire thru the firewall. I have ran wires in cars before but I have not ever tried in my car before.

Thanks,

John

Check SilverKnight's thread in the A/V and Electronics's forum. He has pics of how he used his Bose amp to feed an aftermarket amp f/u/w his sub, location, what has to be taken out to get to it etc. The power wire comes into the interior above and to the right (I believe) of the gas pedal.

Hey I think I found the accessory to bypass that wonderful bose amp and install our own aftermarket one without cutting into the factory wires. It's called "oem-1", heres a link I found. www.tune-town.com/Cars/stuff/pac_oem1.htm

if the cl is like the tl then the bose does not have a seperate amp per say.... actually the amp is in the stock eq.... the signal is sent out of the headunit thru the eq then back to the headunit to get amplified... so just tap into the sig before it hits the stock eq and put some rca connectors on it and there you go....

The configuration for the CL and TL are NOT the same ... there is no EQ in the CL unless you install an aftermarket unit. All the Bose acoustical wizardry takes place in the amp, which is located in the trunk.
