Which car? For the most part, they are all just 4 bolts that go into the floor pan. Remove them and the seat is loose. IF you are taking them OUT of the car, disconnect the battery and then remove the connectors under the seat - if you do it with the battery connected, you will trip the airbag lights. When you reinstall them, plug the connectors back in, and then reconnect the battery.

With the TSX, I pulled the pass seat with the battery connected, but I NEVER turned on the Ignition without the seat plugged in. It was a PITA to put it back in every time I wanted to check something with the key on : )

Never took a TSX seat completely out yet - good to know I don't have to disconnect the battery though

With the 2005's, there's not much point - not putting anything under that power passenger seat. (Drat...)

Most HR video installs are done with the seat in the car. But if I were doing a car for the first time, I'd probably take the seat out of the car and put it on a workbench. Then when I ran the wires inside a car, I'd have an idea of what the heck I was doing : ) (no, I havne't done that part before, just watched>..)
