Removing faceplate on TSX conventional audio display?
There are dust particles underneath my audio display face plate ... anyone have a service manual or anecdotal information on how to remove and clean this area? The dust really catches the light during the day with the sunroof open. :P TIA!
I've got both the service manual and the electronics manual, nether one goes into opening the faceplate. I've heard of this complaint before, you're not the first one and I dont think there was a good solution. I believe someone removed their whole radio and tried using canned air, but still couldn't get to the screen.
I have a navi model so I haven't had the issue myself. Anyone else have any experience?

I've removed the non-navi audio system (not to clean it) and I'm pretty sure you would have to disassemble the entire unit - pull it from the dash and either remove the faceplate from the circuit board or the opposite. Not completely trivial task and you run the risk of breaking or scratching something, but if you're determined, search the Problems & Fixes forum, there might be directions on removal of the unit.
