Rear speaker level for the Sub
Rear speaker level for the Sub
i would like to set up a system using 2 amps of which one is a 4 channel amp powering the front and rear speakers( in a way where the gain can be individually adjusted) , and a 2 channel amp for the sub (fade to the rear acts as a sub level) .
I am planing to use a low level converter so that i can keep the stock headunit.
My question is, since i am planing to use the rear speaker LEVEL as the source for the sub, how can the headunit feed the four channel since it will leave only two channels (fronts). Is paralling or Y conncetion advisible here?
By the way, mind is an Accord (asia version) with only four speakers.
Thank you,

I have not worked on that car, but ASSUMING it is the same as a TSX:
1) You do not need an LOC. The wires to the amp are standard preamp level. Just cut an RCA in half and connect the cut ends to the right wires. You MAY end up wanting a line driver, but may not.
2) "Y" adapters should work fine. Have done it before on another TSX, was OK (nav).
3) I do something similar without the "Y" adapters... using the fader as a bass level control is a cool trick.
