I wanted to hear from someone that has connected their video through the Composite Cord NOT VGA...I'm hearing that if i connect my computer through this cord then it'll be OK quality but not great for mp3 and DVD's although i wouldnt be able to view text, I'm starting to give up on this whole computer thing...do they make any software for what i need???

So are you trying to drive your PC monitor with the composite outs or a TV? Sometimes you have to enable the composite outs. Your card might be set to VGA only... HTH,

I've used my video outs on my PC to a TV before. You usually need to tell the driver that you're connected through composite out. The signal will usually look terrible for text because the resolution on your PC is usually set much higher than the TV. If you set your PC resolution to 640x480 Non-Interlaced, then the resolution will be much closer to the TV's resolution (which uses a 640x480 interlaced signal for 4:3 (aka non-widescreen) TVs). Text will be much bigger like when you adjust your PC to a 640x480 resolution, so it will be a lot easier to read. You shouldnt need any software to do this other than your video card having a composite video out and your drivers supporting the composite video out.
If you can find a TV or LCD that supports HDTV resolutions with component inputs then you can get an ATI video card that supports a VGA to Component video adapter. Then just plug the component video into the TV or LCD and you can output 720p or 1080i which are much higher resolutions. Some LCDs for the car probably support a VGA input though, have you looked into that?
