TSX: Rear Deck 6x9 Vibrations
Rear Deck 6x9 Vibrations
I recently started installing a new system to my 2004 TSX with the intent of making an all around better sounding system, but the rear deck has too many vibrations. I have installed a pair of Infinity Kappa 2-way 6x9, a 10" Rockford Fosgate Sub, and an Alpine 4-channel amp. I originally thought that the vibrations could be coming from the sub, but after I unhooked the sub they still remained. I then unhooked the 6x9's and found that they were the problem. They shouldn't be busted or anything like that since they are fairly new. I was wondering if there is any help or advice y'all could give to help me out. Thanks.
So I just figured out that the head unit isn't sending a full range signal to the rear deck, which I tapped into for the amp's source. Is there any way to splice into the rear door speaker wire or another full range source and run that to the 6x9's on the rear deck
For some reason I thought that the rear deck speakers received a full signal from the head unit so I used the speaker wires as the source for the amp. After I hooked up everything I realized that the 6x9 were only playing the bass, so I checked back with Crutchfield. The tech then found some information about how the rear deck speakers only get bass signal. This would have been useful in the beginning. Right now I am trying to figure out how to get a full range signal sent to the amp. I thought about splicing into the rear door speakers, but I wasn't sure how that would affect the system or if those speakers even get a full range of sound. Any suggestions?
