So I upgraded my 2000 TL when I bought it, it had the OEM one disk CD player. I bought a 2003 TL P 6 CD Changer unit and it plays CD-R's very well now. Also hooked up a Blitzsafe unit and wired it around so I can use my Mp3 player without a hitch.
Problem though, I bought a couple of new DVD audio disks since everyone on here says they are the best sounding music on our stereos. Mine won't read in the CD changer, they do spin, click a few times, then eject with an error.
So am I missing something? Would my 2003 TL P stereo not read the DVD a disk? Is it just the Nav edition that reads DVD?
Not a big deal since I will use them in my Sony home theater system, but I really wanted to use them in the car.

 

Our OEM CD player wont be able to read DVD disks, only CD-R disks. And the navigation unit will only read the navigation disks and not movie DVDs.

 

It's the next years system that allows DVD audio disks to be played. Thanks for clearing it up, they play very well on the home theater system so I'm not out anything.
