Re-connecting GPS Antenna wire?

Re-connecting GPS Antenna wire?
So I have the GPS antenna for my navigation but the wire for this is cut. I have the other end of the wire with connector, but is it as simple as soldering the two together? I know once an XM satellite wire is cut, it's useless....does the same apply for this? Please say no!
