Radar Decector install
Radar Decector install
Hey.... I'm not the handiest, but I can follow a good set of directions well.
I'd like to hardwire a new Valentine I just purchased. I've read through the posts and have seen many ideas on this, but not a great set of instructions to go with.
I'm looking for a simple, yet clean install.
Any ideas??
Thanks.

Here's what I did. Mount the V1 next to the rear view mirror. Take the cord and tuck it in along the interior trim inside the windshield. It goes real easy. Run it left and down the A pillar, then along the crease where the dash and the A pillar meet. You can then sneak it into the fuse box on the left side.
I pulled an old shade tree trick and tucked the red wire into the wiper motor fuse. There is a nut to ground there also. A smarter way is to find a acc power line and use the enclosed splice.
If you have the remote display, run the second cord along the underside of the dash and zip tie it in a couple places. Then snake it up through the plastic hood over the steering column and set the remote right there with velcro.
