question for anyone that built there own sub box
I have finished building the box and I tested it and there are no air leaks. So the question is now I need to carpet the box, what is the easiest way to go about it?
go to a stereo shop that does custom boxes and buy some carpet off them...Then go to the hardware store and buy some Cammie - its really strong spray contact cement. clean the box really well and then spray it down, let it sit for a little, lay the carpet upside down on the ground, spray it lightly and let it sit, and then go to town. I laid the speaker side down onto the carpet and then wrapped all of the sides around so that i was sure the front looked good. The carpet is really easy to cut with a razor for the corners and such. You can always use a staple gun for the back sides to really secure things. Just remember that you probably dont want any staples on the front or other visible parts...

Ok After you lay it speaker side down when you rap it around the sides do you make cuts at each seam on the box or what cause i want to have the least seams as poosible.
Here's a link that might help you: http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/re...omize_box.html
yeah, thats where the razor comes in handy....when you have a fold or something like at a corner cut a relif slit down the fold....its hard as hell to describe, but its easy to figure out...also since its usually dark carpet, the seams more or less disappear...
