Lightbulb Question for all the Member who has an aftermkt system??

I am currrently running a pair of 12's and I find when listening to the radio (FM) the base sounds better. It sounds lower and boomier compare to listening to CD's. Do you all notice the same thing??? How can I acheive the similiar type of base?? It must be the frequency or something and listening to the radio my system thumps much harder??? Any clue anyone???

you need an equalizer. if you can set that EQ to what the radio station has .. should should better.

I will not say that you need an equalizer (eq).

The only thing that I can think of is that your FM radio freq's that you listen to boost the bass.

Otherwise, the same song off of the same CD will have more bass off of the CD, guaranteed.

If you have more off of the FM... that's their problem, not yours.

It is weird because the base from the cd is cleaner but not boomier. The base is not as heavy and boomier or lower than songs played by the cd. I like the sound of the base from FM radio over the same songs played on the cd. So there is nothing out there to acheive that correct? I mean I am currently running a RF 1001bd and has a bass knob but that doesn't help at all. That just makes the base louder but not boomier. I am not trying to achieve more bass here because my amp produce more than enough bass but I am just trying to achieve the same low base the radio plays all the time compare to cd??

The radio is artifically boosting the bass using an EQ. The CD is more accurate.

f you want to boost your bass with an EQ, you can.
