Question about Line Out converter

Question about Line Out converter
If I have a 2 channel line out converter, how do I hook it up to the factory 9" sub in order to get the signal to my aftermarket amp and sub??? Also, How can I run 2 amps, i.e. one for each of my 2 JL 10"s???

Just get a Y-adapter. Why do you want to run 2 separate amps anyway?
You can hook up the converter from the wires going directly into the sub, you do not even need a crossover, the signal going to the factory sub is already crossed over for low frequencies only.

Hang on hang on....back up here a second.... the wires going DIRECTLY into the sub???? Not a good idea, eventually you will blow out the line converter or the amp, or both from the signal that is output by that factory sub amp....
I know a couple people that did exactly that and toasted some shiznit.

I did it and fried my converter and subwoofer. If you hook up and amp use the wires before the Factory amp.

I hooked it up from the wires before the amp first, the signal was so low that I had to turn the gain up all the way on the line out converter AND the amp and I could hardly hear anything.
Then I tried to hook it up from the signal going directly to the sub, it go better signal, I still have to turn the gains on the line out converter all the way up and the amp gain 1/8.

Also, My 2 channel Line Out Converter has 4 wires coming out of it. They are R+ and R- and L+ and L-. How would I wire it to the signal? Just use one set either Left or Right, correct? And what are the BOSE wire color codes?

i dont remember which one is positive or negitive but just connect 1 to the outside (-) and the other to the tip (+) or use an old cheap rca and cut it strip the ends and try it. it should work either way because both your amp and the stock head unit are floating ground. but if you get it backwards the sub will be 180 out of phase. worked great for me i dont know what the output is exactlybut it was able to push the aftermarket amp and sub pretty easy with gain up 1/2 way

Hey,
I have the same problem I think. My 600 Watt amp, and 2 10' subs were working fine. Then all of a sudden my amp stoped working. I had an indiglo emblem hooked up to the ground from the amp. Do you think i need a new amp?
