IR extender
Anyone have any hints on how to extend out an IR sensor from a DVD player? I tried to tap into the circuit board directly but I couldn't get it to work. Anyone with any ideas other then buying a IR repeater? Thanks

Sorry, I should have clarified. I wanted to hook up a DVD player in my trunk to my NAVI screen. I need a way to run a IR sensor to the dash. I tried using a Radio Shack IR sensor and wire it up in parallel and even in series to the existing IR sensor in the circuit board. I didn't want to de-solder the existing IR sensor in case it doesn't work out the way I plan. Any help would be appreciated.
