Question Question about an Alpine Product

I was browsing Alpine products and saw the following picture:

It shows a single din radio installed in a double din slot. The first slot has the head unit, the 2nd slot has something in there that is labeled as Alpine, but I don't see any information as to what it is. It could very well just be a cover plate, but thought I'd ask if any of you know what exactly is in the 2nd din.

I thought it may be an EQ or Processor, but I can't seem to find anything on their site that looks like that.

And the product description for that radio unit doesn't talk about it either.

Alpine does have a GPS unit that mounts inside of their DD's. Maybe this is something like that. Or it's just a fancy cover for single din slot...

Looked into that as well but couldn't find anything. They have a navigation drive that installs inside of other head units, but I couldn't find a single din navigation/gps module on their site.

Tried, but they don't respond to emails. They state to call them which I tried to do but instead got routed to their corporate office. Couldn't find someone to talk to about product questions.

I forgot that they had those. I looked on their site and couldn't find it listed anywhere. Did a search and found one but it doesn't look like the one in the picture:
