1999 3.2 TL Navi

Folks- I have been at this for hours now, and I don't know what the heck I'm doing wrong. I was doing some maintenance on my Head Unit and had to take the center console and such apart to get to the back of the stereo. After the work, I have become totally stuck at putting the coin tray/power console back in place. I cannot get it to be flush with the stereo (as it was before), and also have it flush with the screw holes past the shifter. I have tried to find every contact point that is pushing back at me, but I just cannot for the life of me figure out what is preventing me from putting it back in place properly. Is there some trick I am missing?
