The adapter has worked perfect for almost a year now, but this past week I've started have trouble. When I switch to the auxillary channel, the adapter attempts to switch to the Ipod then turns off again. The radio display initially goes to the "CD-C 5", but then switches over to "CD-C 6" after the adapter fails. You could be choosing a song on the Ipod and when the adapter decides to turn off, it will send the Ipod into the charge mode wth a black screen. I tried it with my other Ipod video and have the same problem.

I searched the forums and could not find any similar issues. Has anyone heard of this before or have any suggestions? I appreciate any and all help.

 

The 1 time I had trouble with it not initiating correctly (something like this, but not quite) it ended up being a loose connection at the ipod cable -> usa spec connector. I'd just remove the adapter, re-install it and make sure all the cables are well seated. I taped the ipod cable into the socket pretty well, and it never came loose again and never game me another minute of trouble.

USA Spec sent me a replacement for the cable that goes between the Ipod and the aux unit. Solved the problem and works perfect again.
