Problem with Clarion

I just installed a clarion in dash screen in my car and I have a few problems with it that I am hoping i can resolve ASAP.

1. I tried putting in a DVD. the instructions say to simply put in the DVD and it will play however I only heard the movie and the diplay said "audio only" WTF!!

2. I have a annoying fuzz that is only audible when the volume is one 1. the fuzz or interference does not get louder as the volume does however it is distinctive and annoying. The fuzz is there when I play my I pod, CD, and Radio.

I have no clue what to do and would appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you.

You can't see the video because either your parking brake wire is not hooked up correctly or you are not doing the correct sequence. There is a section in the instruction manual about this. You buzz is either from using the incorrect BOSE interface module or from not using any interface module at all. In this case you would be sending an amped signal from the deck into the BOSE amp. This will cause a buzz at low volume, very little range of volume and increasing distortion at medium volume.

Word?

If your owners manual does not reference a certain parking brake sequence then you can just ground the parking brake wire and watch video all the time. However, most newer indash screens are smarter than that. If grounding the wire doesn't allow you to watch video then you'll need to connect it to the parking brake wire on your car. If you locate your parking brake pedal or lever the wire will be at the base attached to a copper switch.

The correct module to add an aftermarket deck to your factory BOSE system is the PAC OEM-2. There are several other brand models out there but the OEM-2 is bulletproof and easy to install. You can purchase one at most car audio shops or online.

get a regular switch from like radio shack. Wire the green wire to one prong and ground wire to the other prong on the switch. Then ground the other end of the ground wire to the chasis. Flip the switch twice and u can watch video whenever u want. Will post a drawing when i can find it.

Like unclad said its not a 12volt signal its a ground. ANd you can't wire the green wire directly to ground, it won't work. It has to be on a switch, i know i've had to do it with my clarion max675 that i got last year.

Simple 3 dollar switch, small and can mount it anywhere out of the way.

ok cool. Now about that OEM PAC 2. FYI I dont have a aftermarket AMP. I only have stock. ALso where is the stock amp located? And finally, is the PAC 2 going to eliminate the fuzz sound..... I appreciate your help.
