I have heard PPI is good. But I also got the PG Titanium 600 and love it.

- it is a nice looking amp
- has a bass adjustment knob you can mount inside the cabin
- price is good as well as you will deifinitely have re-sale value with these

I paid $520 + 20 shipping for your reference

I'm a long time car audio fanatic... and I can't speak for the current quality of PPI amps, but I have 3, a 60w, 100w, and 300w from 10 years ago.

Super clean, powerful, and reliable. I haven't had any problems with them and they've been installed in a multitude of cars since I got them in 1989 or so.

Scary to think I've had those amps that long. Damn. I paid a pretty penny for them back in the day, but it was quite worth it.

I'm using the 300w bridged to 600w mono on my sub in the CL. The other two are running around in my wife's car.

if u get PPI amps get the older ones. The newer ones are now made by orion. Orion bought them out. However the old ones are kick ass. I think the newer ones are white.

the new ppi amps suck. i think they are made outside of the usa now. older ppi amps were solid. my bro still has his and it's ten years old. i'd go with a zapco amp if money were no object. pg is good, and so is xtant. this is what i heard, so don't take my word for being the almighty truth.

The PPI amps are SOLID. Some of the Best Amps around. It is true that they were bought out by Orion. And The last series PPI's were not the quality of the olders ones. But the new ones, are back up to the old quality standards. They might have been bought out. But it still is run as in individual company. Similar to the DailmerChrysler arrangment. But the New amps are still solid amps. I speak with from personal experience, and I currently own 5 Chrome Series PPI amps. Which are for sale for you who are interested. I personally won't put any other amp in my car within the same price range. But they are far superior to most amps such as RF, Sony, Pioneer, etc. I currenty have a 4800(100x4), 4400(50x4), 2400(100x2),6600(50x6)and the 1800(800x1). All Chromed out! They are all for sell besides the 4800 & 1800, they belong to the Legend!

In all honesty the 1800 if still in the mail, but I should have it monday of next week. They are all powerclass amps. and your right, its 800 watts at 2 ohms. However I will be running mine at 1.6777 ohms. So theoretically according to Ohm's Law the amp will be putting out 1336 watts. But since the amp isn't 100% efficient at that load I think I'm safe to say that it will put out a good 1100-1200 watts. But I love these amps! Let me know if your ever in get market for getting a second one.

And I mean you on offense from my User Name, its for all the CL owners that talk way to much SHIAT about there cars.
