Power wire for amp rack fan question

I'm looking to add a fan or two to my amp rack with a fan controller (all computer parts; 12v power needed)

I'm wondering how I can get power to this plug: (The right one)

here are the pinouts:
http://pinouts.ru/Power/BigPower_pinout.shtml

So what I'm not sure of is will it need both 12v and the 5v power, or would it run just fine with the 12v.

How can I get power to this wire? I have two amps and a distribution block in my trunk, is there a way for me to get power from these?

so if this does work it'll be..
somehow get power to the plug ---> (fuse?) ---> connect to fan controller --> fans connect to controller and walllahhh

Yes, you can just take a small, fused run off your main 12v to power the fans. Being the lazy sod I am, and not opening your link, I assume the 5v is for input from the controller, variable to adjust fan speed? Figure out how you're going to control your fans to do that first.

But really... why? 90% of amplifier applications don't need fans. And those little computer fans (even 'high power' 120mm ones) aren't going to be moving any material volumes of air, at least not enough that I could see them making it worth the hassle.
