Polk door speakers??

hey. Ive been reading like every post on here tonite. Im tryin to find out if the polk db650 speakers will fit in the front and rear doors. I saw someone put the polk db6500 components in front and the db650 coaxs in the rear and they were both pretty much drop ins. I dont really need the components in front i just wanted to run the db650s all the way around. Will they fit with no modification or am i stuck getting the components in the front and the coaxs in the rear?? Thanx for the help...i listened to the polk speakers the other day and they sound great but i just want the coaxs all the way around. Any comments???

Coaxs are fine all the way around. If anything the components are harder to install since they are probably deeper than coax speakers. Also you don't have to mount the tweeter.

Mine fit perfectly. They are the "slim" series so the depth wasnt a problem. If you get components, you need to get a new amp for them - they love power.

here is where I put all the tweeters.

The db650's fit fine front and back. I have a pair in the front. You just need some longer screws than the ones that come with the stock speakers, and you can reuse the basket the stock speakers are placed in. You just need to snip the three plastic knobs that stick out of the baskets.

I've got 650s all the way around in my '01. Right now they're running off the stock unit and sound great. Because they have a sensitivity of 92db, they don't need alot of power behind them to sound good.

JG123 is dead on with the install tips...

Go for it Man!
