I've been thinking about putting a DVD player into my car, i actually do a bit of traveling in my car so it may be a quite useful entertaining system for me and my friends.

Thinking about and searching for a DVD player to put in my car, i thought whynot a PS2?

I could get a used PS2 slim for a cheap price (under 100) and i'm not a video game fan, but i know ps2 plays DVD as well.

plus, i checked out PS2 slim, and it looks pretty small that i can try to fit it somewhere in the gloves compartment.

I have a 2006 TSX with navigation.

what sorts of "materials" do i need to prepare?

from my knowledge, i need a conversion bypass that i can easily hook it into my navi system in the trunk.

i know it's a pretty rough idea and plan, but i really would like to get it done. my budget is actually under 500. is that possible ?

 

is that possible? yes. i modded my navi to add a video aux

 

I ran a PS2 in the glovebox. It worked great for about 6 months, but between a hot summer and all the bouncing around and movement in the glovebox (yes, i have it strapped down) the dvd drive broke. A bad idea IMO, sorry to say.
