Phone Display always on in MID and console

It seems whenever I get in the car the MID and the top center console display are always displaying the "phone screen". If I push select on the MID it will only display something else for a few seconds then go back. Is there a way to turn this off? Note at these times I am not using the phone, but just have it in the car.

I had that happen for the first time yesterday. I hit the phone talk button and called home to be sure I had engaged the phone and then cancelled the call. I changed the MID back to the odometer and I have not had any trouble since. I have driven for about 1 hour and started and restarted the engine several times.

I have also had another similar problem a couple of times. Sometimes if I am trying to use the voice command or the phone when the navi is engaged I will get a screen indicating that you cannot use two voice control systems at once. This has tended to freeze me out from using the phone. However, if I use the voice command and input some innocuous command like "display map" and then hit the cancel button on the voice command, the system unfreezes.

I hope that helps and that this is an infrequent problem for you.

I occasionally have this problem also. I have registered my concern with ACS and the dealer. When the dealer dumped the codes from the computer(s), there were errors active (but he didn't elaborate). I'll be going back in the next few weeks to get my EL-42's replaced and will have them take another look at it.

This behavior is happening in my car too. It is extremely annoying. I haven't found a way to stop it from happening yet either. Any updates or suggestions from readers?

I posted this issue before, no solutions from anyone yet. (if my memory is correct...) My T610 (T-Mobile) keeps having this issue with my MID. But my MID and HFL are almost flawless after reseting it.

I have to press "talk" and "cancel" in order to get back to the normal screen.

ACS and the dealer won't be able to give me the fix yet since Oct. I have tried to re-set the Bluetooth profile, no luck.

Will the upgrade of firmware help??? I don't know...

I doubt it. I saw this problem with both old and new firmware.

dammit, computers aren't supposed to be random!
I keep having this problem too, and it is truly intermittent, as far as I can tell. I guess it's not a huge deal, but it kinda worries me that sometimes the brains of the car are operating differently than at other times. If anyone finds the key to this weird activity, please post it!
